Our History

Our History

Our History

The  Dialysis Scholarship Fund (DSF)

 is a  501(c)3 non-profit corporation

formed in 2010.

The Dialysis Scholarship Fund  began with an inspiration from

John Turek.

After spending several years  as a dialysis patient and enduring mind-numbing, endless treatments, he wondered how he could use his time more constructively.  That idea launched the

Dialysis Scholarship Fund (DSF)

Since a typical dialysis patient does not have financial resources for educational advancement,  DSF  provides grants that can have a significant impact on  their life. Besides the enjoyment of learning and the satisfaction of  attaining an educational goal, it is a critical long-term benefit with the prospect of a better financial future.

The Foundation "The Turek-Aubert Memorial Scholarship Fund" is a tribute to the Turek family members afflicted with

 Polycystic Kidney Disease.
